Analogue chart analysis and digital analysis and archive

Chart analysis is an important aspect of running any road transport operation. To the untrained eye, the information held on a tachograph chart can be difficult to interpret. To assist your meeting the requirement of undertaking for an operators licence, BTS offer a chart analysis service which can turn your chart information in to easy to read and understand reports.    This low cost service provides you with  analysis of drivers hours (and RTD working time directive) and reports  faults which have occurred through driver error, misuse or failure of the tachograph unit, along with infringements of the drivers' hours rules. With a printed letter available to issue to the driver concerned all aspects of reporting are covered.

Alternatively you may wish to read your charts "in house" and this can be achieved by using the same on-line systems and purchasing you own chart reader (as pictured above). To receive further information on this service or to discuss you requirements in confidence please contact us. To purchase your chart reader please visit our shop.

For digital tachograph users we are also able to offer an analysis service which is very cost effective and helps you comply with current legislation. The service is an internet based one using secure servers and is owned and maintained by Siemens VDO Trading Ltd. To set up an account, or for details of this service please contact us on any of our links at the top of the page or ring our dedicated Digital Tacho Helpline  0871 474 2770*

Our analogue analysis service now comes in three levels as indicated below.

Bronze level

Either post your charts to us or drop them into our Penybont office. We shall then analyse and return the charts to you. Your reports can then be accessed via the internet using the secure servers of Siemens VDO. You may then print any reports required along with a driver’s letter as needed.

Silver level

Either post your charts to us or drop them into our Penybont office. We shall then analyse and return the charts to you. The charts will be sorted into weekly order and will be in weekly envelopes ready for you to store in your filing system. Each envelope will be attached to a weekly report of driver activity and will be accompanied by a driver’s letter indicating any faults ort infringements where they have occurred.

 Gold level

This level replaces our previous service known as Chalysis. The Gold level provides you with everything you require.  When you start the Gold level you will be provided with six packs of charts per driver. These are then issued to the drivers ready to begin using the scheme. Week one all drivers are issued with the six packs. At the end of week one the drivers will retain all six packs having used charts from one pack. This continues through week two, three, four and five. At the end of week five the driver can hand in the pack from week one and retain the pack from week two, three, four  thus in week five he will be carrying the statutory requirements of used charts (current day plus last 28) along with spare charts  in pack six. The collected charts are then sent to us for analysis and your reports will be returned as per Silver level above with the addition of a pack of new charts ready for issuing to your drivers. Thus the cycle will continue with you receiving new charts from us ready packed in weekly envelopes. You issue these to your drivers when you collect used charts which are then sent to for analysis and report generation.
